Movie review: "Snatch"

This was a really freaking good movie. Directed by Guy Ritchie, Snatch is one of those British crime-comedys filled with crazy characters and general hilarity while still retaining the air of dark underworld seriousness. The plot circles around two plot lines: one involving people trying to get their hands on an 86 karat diamond, and the other following two underground boxing promoters (one of whom is Jason Statham). It's a little hard to follow at first, especially because its all in a British accent, complete with slang and jibber and all that, but it's some of the best film I've seen in a while.

By far the best character is Mickey who is a Gypsy bare-knuckle boxing champion known as the "One Punch Machine Gun", played by Brad Pitt. The boxing scenes are freaking awesome, especially the final one. You'll have to see the movie on your own though. Overall Snatch is just a really great movie: theres comedy, eccentric characters, hilarious events (one event comes to mind, one of the three jewelry store owners fires off the replica handgun inside the car to prove they work, blowing the windows out and pissing everyone off) I'd recommend watching it twice though, you get a lot more out of it. To put a rating on it, id say 9/10

the future?

I'm tired of this stupid routine. It's gonna be great when everyday is like a saturday, nothing to do except what you wanna do and what needs to be done. No more of this tedious waiting for the bell to ring. Something should change, it needs to. I'm tethered to this place like an anchor stuck at the bottom of the ocean. Ideally, the future is gonna be just how I pictured it, but these things never really ever totally pan out... so they say...

They... them... the man... they keep telling me what to do, what not to do and how to do it. Leave me alone you pissants, leave me be and give me freedom. Sheesh..

I wish there was a way to permanently save thoughts like word documents or image files. Think about it, there would be no limit to how far you could take any given thought process or idea...
